Label-specific feeds in Blogger

In the light of recent events - one of our readers let me know about a blog that mainly posted politic and not gaming related posts recently - I want to give you guys some information on how to use label-specific RSS feeds when using Blogger.

The RPGBA has no strong rules against off-topic posting, but it's preferred if you submit only your pen & paper RPG-related posts to the RPGBA. If you use Blogger, you can use labels to put your posts into various categories. It's advisable that you use a RPG label if you want to post non-RPG stuff, too. But how do you submit only the RPG posts to us? That's actually pretty easy.

A Blogger feed URL usually looks something like this:

http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default

The feed URL for just one label looks like this:

http://blogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default/-/labelname

If you want to specify whether you want to use Atom or RSS 2.0 add either nothing (for Atom) or ?alt=rss (for RSS 2.0)  to the end of the URL. Both should be fine.

So imagine your RPG blog has the URL http://genericrpgblog.blogspot.com and your RPG posts are all labeled RPG. In that case the proper feed URL looks like this:

http://genericrpgblog.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default/-/RPG

Please note that label name are case-sensitive!
